Hello. My name is Martin Yan. But I’m not the Martin Yan. It just so happens that we share our namesake. Unfortunately, I can neither cook nor pull off a good Chinese accent.

As it turns out, I have a passion and gift for writing. If you enjoy delving into the mind of a curious, pensive and spiritual twentysomething, then I invite you into my world.

Here in my space you will find several reflective essays. I publish pieces in which I try to speak to the struggle, humor and wisdom that seem to serve as reoccurring motifs in my life. My hope is that you would connect and draw something from my words so as to learn and live out your words on your own.

I try to be honest. I try to be real. Let’s hope that counts for something.
